Eid ul Fitr 2026

On Friday, March 20th, the South Virginia Chapter of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA gathered at Masroor Mosque to celebrate Eid ul Fitr. Around 1,500 men, women, and children gathered for the occasion, with members beginning to arrive at 9:30 a.m.

The Eid prayer was led by Imam Salman Tariq, followed by the Eid sermon. In his sermon, Imam Salman Tariq emphasized the importance of living simply, following the example of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of God be upon him) and his companions.

Following silent prayers, members socialized and enjoyed lunch together. To spread the joy, goodie bags were handed out to children. Members later reconvened in the prayer hall for the Friday prayer at 12:30 p.m.
