Hijab and Harmony – World Hijab Day Event at Porter Library, Stafford
The Women’s Auxiliary of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community from Masroor Mosque organized a World Hijab Day program titled “Hijab & Harmony” at Porter Library in Stafford on February 14, 2026, offering guests an engaging and welcoming opportunity to learn about the purpose, dignity, and lived experience of the hijab. The event aimed to promote understanding, and address common misconceptions through interactive learning and open conversation.
Guests explored the meaning and significance of the hijab through informational slides related to Hijab and concept of modesty. A hands‑on scarf‑try‑on station allowed attendees to experience hijab, with free scarves gifted to participants as a gesture of appreciation. A lively “Myth vs. Fact” game helped bust common misunderstandings about the hijab, sparking thoughtful discussion and encouraging respectful dialogue.
Free books and magazines including, including Life of Muhammad (peace be upon him), Pathway to Peace, Review of Religions and Ayesha magazines were available for guests to take home. The “Hijab & Harmony” event successfully fostered understanding, confidence, and community connection.
